The 2011 Miami International Film Festival is almost here (March 4-13) and as always, it promises an eclectic mix of quality films from around the world. But there’s one, directed by Aaron Salgado that stands out this year -specially if you grew up in Miami- which will make its world premiere and is generating some interesting buzz. Magic City Memoirs is a story about three Miami private school kids months away from graduation who indulge in reckless behavior that finds them on the brink of either their graduation or their mortality.

There’s something magical about NYC. Something that many people love but only few can describe well. I personally am in love with this city and its incredible architecture, fast-paced culture, artistic background, design & creative environment, impressive history and of course, fashion. Every visit feels different, and helps re-charge and inspire the hell out of me! As you might know by now, PETA is an American animal rights organization. Over the past few years they have become notorious not only for exposing and fighting -sometimes a bit too much- big organizations and individuals that ‘exploit’ animals, but for their provocative and risqué advertising featuring nude celebrities. And for the past two years, they have launched ‘banned’ Super Bowl commercials, also known as ‘clever viral videos’ inciting viewers to ‘Go Veg’. So, why are these ads banned you ask? Because they use the oldest trick in the book, by ‘exploiting’ dumb humans and sex. It’s a vicious circle my friends…
