Influencers

TheeBlog-Influencers
We always strive to remain creative, current and inspired. We also like to hear and learn from people we admire or that have succeeded in their respective fields. After all, a simple conversation or interview could ignite your creativity and career! Icons and leaders have one thing in common (other than thousands of facebook & twitter followers), they have the power to influence people. And today’s post focuses strongly on this subject. INFLUENCERS is a great web-documentary explaining how trends and creativity become contagious. Add this video to the list of things you must do today. Believe me, inspiration and a new outlook can be found in the smallest things.

TheeBlog Q&A Sessions: Hydro74

TheeBlog-Hydro74

There are many different styles of illustration and design. Yes, we all know that… but there are only few ’signature styles’ strong enough to be recognized instantly wherever you might find them. Today’s guest is one of these amazingly talented artists whose intricate work is not only recognizable at first sight, but also deliciously crafted and inspiring. Today, I am proud and stoked to share a new Q&A Session featuring Joshua M. Smith aka HYDRO74. I’ve had the pleasure of knowing and following Joshua’s work for quite some time and realized that the best way to showcase his work would be by inviting him to chat and share some of his secrets, inspiration and process behind his work and why not, a few personal anecdotes. But wait! That’s not it, as you might have heard or read, Joshua donated a few signed giveaway goodies. Check out the interview after the jump and what you’ll need to do to get some visual candy!

The work of Erwin Olaf

TheeBlog-ErwinOlaf
People say paintings, photographs or art pieces have the power to alter our emotions and transmit what the artist feels or wants you to feel. Today’s Photography feature could be a perfect example of this. Dutch Photographer Erwin Olaf’s captivating work combines different elements like beautiful 50s retro tones, sets, wardrobe and furniture! an admirable use of light and the somehow depressing, dark and twisted expressions (or lack of) his subjects. Check out some samples of his work…

TheeBlog Q&A Sessions: Maria Argüello

TheeBlog-MariaArguello
We love apps! Specially when they can help us find the best bars, restaurants and events in town. And this is exactly what YELP does! Yelp is a social networking, user review, and local search website that has changed the way restaurants and patrons interact. I invited my good friend and Community Manager for Yelp Miami, Maria Argüello for a brief Q&A session. I’ve known Maria for over a year and have witnessed how she has helped Yelp Miami establish as a community nerve center and become the mecca thousands of yelpers in Miami, and surrounding areas, turn to share reviews, events and anecdotes. Considering the tremendous growth and popularity of Yelp’s website & app (more than 53 million monthly unique visitors as of late 2010!) I thought it would be a great idea to invite her to chat and share a few facts about social media, blogs, Yelp and of course, Miami.
