There is no doubt music has the power to touch and inspire us. And although many songs could bring back memories, heal or simply make you smile, (to me) there are only few performers whose charisma, passion and life could really dig deep, and stay with you for life. Bob Marley is definitely one of them. I witnessed this first hand last year when I visited Jamaica and had the chance to learn more about his origins, life and music. You could really ‘feel’ his music through the mountains and his people… MARLEY is Director Kevin MacDonald’s latest documentary film, which was released last week, featuring the life of Bob, unseen footage and narrations by his close friends and family. A must watch.
Bob Marley’s universal appeal, impact on music history and role as a social and political prophet is both unique and unparalleled. MARLEY is the definitive life story of the musician, revolutionary, and legend, from his early days to his rise to international superstardom. Made with the support of the Marley family, the film features rare footage, incredible performances and revelatory interviews with the people that knew him best.
