The Very Real Bears

TheeBlog-TheRealBears Remember when Bogusky announced he was retiring from advertising – by advertising his new agency venture, merchandise, etc? haha sure. We all knew it was just a matter of time, and today I want to share his latest project for the Center for Science in the Public Interest. A straight-out, perhaps a bit too dark and real, PSA aimed at the jugular of every big soda company, specially Coca-Cola, mocking its signature happy bears. The campaign, called “The Real Bears” has been gaining traction on the internet and not only features Bogusky provocative style, but also a happy tune by Jason Mraz. It wasn’t so bad when soft drinks were the occasional treat. But now sugary drinks are the number one source of calories in the American diet. With one third of America overweight and another third obese, it’s a wonder anyone is still swallowing what the soda companies are selling.
