Recent Work: EL REY Network

TheeBlog-DiegoGuevara_ElRey_ID It’s been a while since I share some personal work, and since January is all about resolutions, goals and new starts, I figured it would be a good idea to share a great project I had the pleasure and fortune of working on recently… It all started with a phone call, you know, the ones that simply happen when you least expect it and that in a matter of seconds not only capture your complete attention, but also manage to get your creativity going crazy. I am sure you’ve seen his work all over the world, but I think it is always great to learn more about artists, their inspiration and process. The talented folks at Sanden Wolff recently visited Jeff Koons in his New York studio to chat about these topics, his career-long fascination with inflatables and the origins of his iconic Balloon Dog.

OBEY in Málaga

I know many of you enjoy the work of Shepard Fairey, so today I want to share a great new mural that was recently finished overseas. In November of 2013, The Obey crew was invited to Malaga, Spain where they painted a 7 story mural next to the Contemporary Art Center. The 40 feet long “Paz Y Libertad” mural took over three full days to complete and is now accompanied by another great mural by D*Face.

And looking back at 2013, I noticed that there were a few products I not only recommended, but also used (a lot!) throughout different jobs or projects I was fortunate to be part of. One of these great companies is Dropbox. Sure, we all know how awesome they are, so we won’t talk about it. Instead, I want to share a photo-tour of their sweet new San Francisco offices co-created by Geremia Design and Boor Bridges Architecture, you know, to kick off the year and hopefully inspire agencies, companies and designers out there to re-think their creative environment and make it fun and inspiring this year.
