MAX 100 Project

TheeBlog-Max100Book Happy Friday! Being that most of us were celebrating Air Max day today, I decided to bring this post back because you cannot talk about Air Max and Design without mentioning the talented Matt Stevens :) So, here you go! – Today I want to follow up on a post from last year. Why? Because I love this project (I’m sure you will also), I love my Nike kicks and because it is finally available for purchase thanks to all the support and love from KickStarter backers. I’m talking about Matt Stevens MAX100 book project. A beautiful high end book featuring 100 different, and beautiful, interpretations of Nike’s iconic AirMax1 or as Matt states it, “the greatest sneaker ever made.” Learn more after the jump, check out some photos, video and get yours today!

Air Max Day 2015

TheeBlog_AirMaxDay2015 If you know what this post is about just by looking at the title or the date, you’re cool in my book. If you don’t, you’re still cool – but will be even cooler after reading this :) Today is a great day for sneakerheads around the world as it is the 28th anniversary of the launch of the first shoe ever to showcase visible Air – the NIKE Air Max. If you are not familiar with the history of Nike Air Max shoes, I invite you to check it out, it is a great example of how one good idea can not only change an entire industry, but also inspire a worldwide movement and culture. If you are familiar, well, there’s nothing much I can tell you as you’re probably busy snapping and tagging a photo of your ‘Airs’ to join the online celebration :)

Baymax as…

TheeBlog-Baymax I’m going to say this post is mostly dedicated to my kids since they love Big Hero 6 / Baymax, but I also know that many of you us, love this guy (for the record, my favorite is still Wall-e). Demetria Skye really likes Baymax. How much you ask? Enough to draw awesome versions of him dressed up as Buzz, Wreck it Ralph, Aladdin, Elsa, Lilo and many other Disney, Dreamworks or Pixar characters. Check out Demetria’s great work after the jump and get ready to say awww at the office.

The Mill 2015 Motion Reel

There are so many great agencies out there constantly raising the bar and producing beautiful work. The Mill is definitely one of them. Their impressive work has become a constant source of inspiration and influence for agencies and creatives around the world – and their annual demo reels, in my opinion, are some of the best in the business. So, today I want to share their latest motion reel, full of eye candy and gems like titles for OFFF, MTV, D&AD, Nike, Call of Duty, Gatorade, BBC, and Cannes to name a very few. Enjoy!

FEAST

As most of you probably know already, the award for best animated short film during this year’s Oscars deservedly went to Disney’s FEAST, directed by Patrick Osborne. Now, for those of you who don’t have any kids and didn’t catch it in theaters (it launched along Big Hero 6), FEAST is the story of one man’s life seen through the eyes of his dog, Winston, and revealed bite by bite through the meals they share. Whether you love dogs or not, I guarantee you this short will make you smile and make your day a lot better. If you want to learn more, check out a great interview with Director Patrick Osborne after the jump! – Disney keeps killing video links, so let’s just watch the interview for now…
