Copa Basel 2015

If you are into art, sneakers, and soccer, you’re going to love this post! My cool friends at Kicks To The Pitch, in collaboration with a couple of sponsors including the MLS are hosting a great event this Sunday. The event, called Copa Basel combines art, soccer, sneakers, and a variety of cool things to do, drink and see. Unfortunately this year will be the first I miss Art Basel because I am out of town, but if you are in Miami, make sure you stop by! Thanks again for the invite Marcus and congrats on such a fun event!

In conjunction with 2015 MLS Cup and the closing of Art Basel, soccer lifestyle blog Kicks to the Pitch and global creative network Monorex, with the support of Major League Soccer and others, present COPA BASEL A CELEBRATION OF ART AND THE BEAUTIFUL GAME, a Fan Zone uniting art and soccer fans alike, a first event of its kind during Art Basel.

COPA BASEL A CELEBRATION OF ART AND THE BEAUTIFUL GAME is the ultimate art and soccer fan experience featuring a dedicated indoor space with a large projection broadcasting the 2015 MLS Cup as well as a soccer game played amongst a backdrop of large canvassed live art throughout the Fan Zone walls.

COPA BASEL kicks off on Sunday, December 6, 2015 at 12:00 PM at Wynwood Soccer Complex, 2222 NW 5th Ave. Miami, FL with teams featuring former MLS players including retired USMNT and MLS player, Eddie Johnson, retired Canadian National Team player and MLS great, Dwayne De Rosario, past host on KICKTV, DJ for US Soccer and female tastemaker Florencia Galarza as well as a mixture of creatives, brands, artists and locals in the soccer and art communities.

In addition to live art and live soccer activities, attendees can enjoy a sneaker cleaning station and display by London’s Crep Protect, special custom MLS Cup t-shirt screen-printing by 47 Brand, who will also provide outfits for all teams and a live art truck and 21 and over soccer lounge by Heineken, creating a relaxed destination where art and soccer fans alike can connect, explore and appreciate both passions from the soccer sidelines.

COPA BASEL runs until 7PM on Sunday, December 6th and is free and open to the public.
