Beautiful promo video for Converse by Nailgun*. ‘This one minute and thirteen second piece whisks the viewer through the whimsical, world of Converse.’
Although this video has been out for some time now and some of you have probably seen it already, I was going through my bookmarks and realized I never posted it, so here it is! Not only it is a very informative and socially interesting subject, but it is beautifully done and designed by Chris Harmon. With the Champions League final coming up this weekend, we’ve been bombarded with ads and promos for the past 2 weeks including some great spots by Adidas, Nike and company… The one I want to share today, Directed, Edited and Composed by Jean-Paul Frenay, features Nike’s new Mercurial Vapor Superfly III and it’s simply beautiful. You may have seen this new campaign by Gucci featuring Chris Evans and Evan Rachel Wood all over the mall this weekend while you were out buying your last minute Mother’s day Gift. Well it turns out the campaign includes a sweet ad spot directed by Mr. Frank Miller, yes, Sin City Frank Miller. There are times when, while lurking the web – or as I like to call it – conducting online research, you may stumble upon deliciously awesome work that makes you stop, pay attention and want more… This happened to me recently when I discovered the fuckin’ (yes, so good, it made me curse) stunning collaborative work of Jamie Beck and Kevin Burg. Jamie (Photography), and Kevin (Web Design/Motion) worked together creating beautiful and intricate animated gifs they called Cinemagraphs. Utilizing an old technique to create something new and beautiful with such attention to detail and love is truly impressive and inspiring! Check out more lovely photos after the jump!

I’ve had the chance of meeting fantastic and creative individuals over time, and it is always refreshing to know that we ‘creatives’ are pretty cool people! As artists, we are constantly involved with the world that surrounds us, our community, and everything & anything that we can relate to, or that can benefit our present and future. I had the great pleasure of meeting Mauricio Ferrazza over Mexican food recently, creator and CEO of ANIMIAMI 2010 and share his ideas and purpose behind this International Conference taking place in Miami (October 16th). The event combines students, yeah call me cheesy, but they ARE the future, arts and my hometown! I loved the idea so much that I had to be part of it, and thanks to Mauricio and my great buddy Alfredo, I ended up creating artwork and being part of a great team of people working together to make this event a success and the first of many, many more to come!
